Shameless Self-Promotion Section: default spokesman for English Qaballa since 1984, Goetic magician since 1972, and one of the original Wallies of Wessex who started Stonehenge Festival ('Anarchist City' on Salisbury Plain.)My primary interests involve Magic, be it Ancient, Medieval, Renaissance or Modern; Western, Middle Eastern or New World.My involvement is backed up by appreciation of the modern 'materialistic science of history', so no Atlanteans or fluffy orign myths. I'm basically a pagan, but not the neo-Celtic fluffy bunny kind, think ancient Greece (from Minoan to Greco-Roman and their Eastern and African contacts, that's approximately two thousand years of culture which were prior to the last two thousand!) In my informed opinion that background is a lot more relevant to the goetic tradition than any amount of imported 'Cabala' which didn't enter Western magic until the 1400s (see what I mean about no fluffy origin myths?)In practice my magical work integrates the magical papyri, Italo-French grimoires (particularly the Grimorium Verum) and African Traditional Religions (particularly Quimbanda and Magia Negra), which work well together and can be seen to be related historically once the Judaeo-Chritian origin myth of the 'Westertn Tradition'is dumped in favour of hard headed history.Oh and I also like music, from Classical to Punk Rock, and like to encorage the Free Festivals, or their modern equivalents. ;-)
