The vision was always been clear to MK...stay true to the game and never lose focus. The Game: Hip-Hop,The Focus: Real Music. MK City isthe reincarnated version of the cities champions, M.U.D.K.I.D.S, that performed and gave blood sweat & tears on the underground music scene for years thru the mid and late nineties. The battle ready hip-hop squad rallied for Prosperous Music Group (PMG) and pressed up vinyl, tapes and CD's to sell through out the East Coast to peers on the same level with the same love for the culture. After the initial LP release, the crew went through typical crew trials and tribulations but NEVER turned a evil eye to the cohorts in the clan. Once the DUST settled, after the copies of the first CD were put in stores and online...the video shot and the songs remixed, the crew laid low. MK had to regroup and find out who they REALLY we're. They venture out on solo missions to spread their wings. The original members: EROS, SUPERFRESH, STRYFE, FOUREYES, COLUSSUS, DANG AND FIASCO all had different destinies and goals to fullfill. Eros continued to run the label and made plans to advance and make PMG a major force to be reckoned with. Superfresh went on to start UK Classics and for his own team of MC's and eclectic styles just as raw as ever. Stryfe AKA Wiz-One made a name in the beat game and became one of the most sought after underground producers in area and is well respected for his knowledge and experience. Foureyes became intent on sharpening his sonic skills as well and laid low on the MCing and focused mainly on making beats. Colussus, renamed Chop DaButcha, became a highly sought after DJ thats constantly working parties,shows and clubs all over the city, gettingin on the mix tape game and expanding his name. And Dang formed Relentless Records and took a 'TEAM' approach to making music, depending on great artist to combine as one to make great music. Over time as the solo projects progressed and the beats became better, the crew, more or less a family now, continued to work together on each projectand in many cases began to respect each others differences as they decided to agree to disagree. It was Eros who initiated the second project and all members were in, including a few new family inducties such as JULIAN JEWELS, INIFINITE AKA PURE FIYA, BOO BOO, DROS among others and began the MK DP2 project. This project was supposed to take place after the initial 'WAR' of the first projectthat ended with the death of L.E.R.O.Y.E's creator and the survival of the humanrace (according to MK). The second project is supposed to be the follow up to the MUDKIDS Militia mission and their return home to the streets after theynearly saw them destroyed. The album features all the MUDKIDS from the first except FIASCO who met an untimely death in the young artist hometownand is greatly missed. The CD actually is a re-release of sorts because the original DP2 was filled with skits and extra songs that seemed to detract from the overall 'rawness' of the CD so it is being re-mastered and re-released with only the meat and bones, no filler.In short, the CD is unadulterated hip hop at it's core and will bring back visions of Wu-Tang in the heyday or Hieroglyphics as we see them now. But the only problem is they cannot be compared to any current or past groups because they have a style that puts them in a class of their own. MK is back with the real shit so make no mistake, The D.U.S.T. Prophecy 2 is hardcore hip-hop just like Mom used to make...get in where you fit in
