I love to travel. I'm really down to go anywhere. I've lived in Africa, been to Europe and all over the US. But i'm still thirsty... Get your passport ready and when the plane lands, we'll be somewhere where they dont speak no English. My other interests include cooking, film, art, literature, capoeira angola and spoken word. Im always down to hear, perform or just be in the company of poets. To me, the pOeT is one of the most important members of society. We are the griots, the activists, educators, story tellers, psychologists, doctors, critics, lawyers, entertainers, comedians and intellectuals. Poetry makes the world go round."You gotta follow where your talent take you, you might fuck around and finally make it" - Black Thought of The Roots
God, All of My Ancestors, Nelson Mandela, Colin Powell, Oprah Winfrey, "The Man" (so I can stick it to him ~no homo~), Robert Johnson (so I can slap the shit outta him for selling B.E.T to those white folks) and myself.View All Friends | View Blog | Add Comment

Im a busy dude, so i dont really watch tv. But I might throw on the news or something to see who Bush is bombing next. I might even turn it to B.E.T (Black Exploitation Televison)every now and then just to see what's new. It's still the same ol' chains and whips tho...
I'll read anything that sparks my interest. I need to read the Bible, Koran and Torah. Those should the first ones on my reading list!! But I like anything by the late great August Wilson, Langston Hughes, Chinua Achebe, Ngugi Wa Thiongo', Lorraine Hansberry, Zora Neale Hurston, Tony Morrison, etc... Basically those good BLACK books!!! Not those ghetto ass Baby Mama books by Eric Jerome Dickey and whoever else is writing them. "I Write What I Like" by Steve Biko is good too. Check it out.
God is my hero. He/She/It is the creator of everything that I love and everyone who loves me. I could name actual people as my heroes, but ultimetly, it all goes back to God. Call it what you may...but the God in me loves the God in you... I also think that God is bigger than any man made "religion" or set of beliefs and is neither a "HE" nor "SHE" because those are characteristics of the flesh and not of the spirit. My body is male because I was born with a penis, some balls and a specific amount of chromosomes, but my spirit/soul is neither. So when somebody dies, they leave behind their physical characteristics. They are no longer black, white, male or female, ya dig? Holla at me and let me kno what u think.
