I'm 23 years old and have grown up all over the world so when people ask where do I come from I just look at them with a quizical face and shrug. Music is my life. I am currently playing bass in a Leiden (the Netherlands) based Mathcore/Progressive Metal band called OctaChoron. We are currently in recording our second demo which we hope will be done by the end of this summer.
In the mean time, I work as a freelance sound engineer and stage hand. Some of the bands I'm working with at the moment are The New Age Peasants and Obsidian.
My friends and I are trying to get as many musicians and artists from The Netherlands together and create what is essentially a collective to try and bring out the underground alternative scene in Holland. Hopefully this will eventually lead to the start-up of a musician/artist friendly record company that is going to help the musicians rather than fill the pockets of company executives, and just try to spread the love of music and art.
