Water Became Blood: Someone told me they were a metal christian band based on their lyrics, but with all the eplitives of "Mother F's" and other verbage I think I would have to disagree. They had great harmonies, were tight with their music and were brutal. I particularly liked watching the drummer play and sing also. If you like hard core affectionately called "cookie monster" metal, then you will like this band. A little typical of the style that plays in San Antonio, however I would have to say better than whats out there on the scene in this style.If you want brutal metal then check out Water Became Blood. WATER BECAME BLOOD's music is a blend of hard hitting metal riffs with memorable melodies and catchy choruses.The music rises to next level with intense aggressive vocals accompanied by 3-piece harmonies.Drummer Eric Tobias says,"In our past bands we always had the grunting,growling,shouting vocals that you could never understand,so with WATER we decided to do some singing and harmonizing.I think it adds a whole lot to the music and makes the song more memorable." Lyrically,WATER BECAME BLOOD's songs are based on; personal experience,the overcoming of opposition,fighting one's demons, loss, battling addictions but ultimately WATER BECAME BLOOD's goal is to send a message of hope in a time of despair.Drummer/lyricist Eric Tobias says,"The lyrics I write are from my personal experiences.I've been through hell and back,so I channel it through song.It is always best to write from the heart and use the good and bad experiences.it's what keeps it real!!The name WATER BECAME BLOOD doesn't have any significant or mystical meaning."We got the name from the Old Testament. It's the first of the Ten Plagues of Egypt.It just sounded cool, you can find it in Exodus 7:14-25", says Guitarist Robin Lewis.
