About Me

I picked up the guitar when I was 13...or so I tell people since I can't remember how old I really was. 13 seems about right. In any case, I've been playing for a bit more than 10 years now. Hard to imagine a decade under my belt already. Wait...I don't normally wear belts...Hmm...
Fast forward years and lots of practice later...I've idolized many and watched giants fall. I was in a few bands that I thought were great...and were probably pretty bad or at the very least in dire need of some real practice. Nothing anybody has probably ever heard of or even remembers. Funny how memory makes things seem so amazing. I think that is called nostalgia. I'm sure I was hoping for the future at those moments in the past. Tragic irony.
I write songs and I hope people like them. I can never tell since it is mostly bands adding me. Maybe if I get desperate for approval, I'll whore myself off like most bands on myspace.
My influences are listed on the side and I'm sure I've missed some. I'm into all kinds of music...not just what I have posted here. It is just impossible for me to be an entire rock band by myself.
I really miss playing in a full band or even just having a writing partner. Maybe somebody to sing with me. I don't know. I'm probably being entirely too candid at the moment. I just have a lot of trouble completing songs or writing lyrics. I lose focus and inspiration. I also use the first person pronoun "I" entirely too much. Perhaps that says something about my personality?
If you like my songs, drop me a note and let me know. It is always really appreciated and encouraging. For as much as I'd like to say I write and play music just for myself...that is clearly not entirely true as I have posted it online for your enjoyment...and perhaps my embarrassment.
I'll probably edit this again later. I just figured I'd keep myself busy since I can't sleep.I'd love to play with any ukulele, lap steel, pedal steel, mandolin, cello, flugle horn, or rhodes players.I want to thank everybody who has really supported, encouraged, and inspired me in various ways.
