DER!N was formed in 2003,Izmir as a cover band by I.Halil TURGAY(vocal-guitar) and ilyas EFILOGLU(guitar).The band,which has performed in various night clubs(dungeoan,punta,silence,opus,etc.) in many culture-art festivals and the university festivals,was joined by Alper SUAR(bass),who had previously worked with persons such as Haluk Levent,Bilinçalti and Hasan YILDIZ(drum),who had previolsly performed in bands such as hayvan,sinir,bilinçalti, in 2006 and reached its current form.The band continues with its concerts,night club performances and their compositions.DERIN voices their philosophies with this statement:By breaking free of our external insincerity we word our feelings,which we have hidden inside of ourselves and than forgotten or our feelings which we fear to word,by means of our courageous music.This explains very well why Derin is deep.P.S:After Ilyas Efiloglu having gone to the U.S.A for his education the band continues with its Works as i.halil turgay,Alper suar and hasan yildiz
