Band Website: N/A... yet.
Band Members: Al Sage.
Influences: The first thing I ever listened to: "some ones Knockin that door"- Paul Mcartnney and wings.
TheN when My mother and I got to California, I would listen to disco, when I was about 7-8 years old. I remeber My mom saying "I can't listen to that rocky stuff it gives me a headache"
(typical latin mom...) So I thought; well that's not "rocky" I remember standing in line at Zody's and allways looking though the Record section as my mom waited in line. What I really wanted was that Styx record, "Peices of Eight" or Kiss's "Rock n Roll Over, or Destroyer'-
But $7.99 was way too much money!!! And you could forget about Kiss Alive... So I had to get 45's Thelma Houton: Knock on wood, sting alive, I had all those Disco hits on 45, I swear I must have had At least a 100. Later on I even got a couple of kiss 45's. Dr Love, and beth of course... When I was 9 I was finally alowed to listen to what I wanted, getting Kiss records Rock n Roll over, and the Infamous Destroyer. Still a little before that I would listen to anything that was around. My mom's boyfriend bought over a few records while living with us.
He had: Frank Sinatra, Judy Garlands greatest hit's...I remember My favorite sonng on that Record; "smile even though it's aching, smile even though your breaking, when ther are clouds in the sky, we'll get by..." I would play it over and over again. I milked the hell out of any music that I had around...I found a Beethhoven album collection at a yard sale and I Had to have it. there was this one tune on there that was the only Dark sounding' part, I would play it over and over again. It seemed that before I got introduced to Rock and Roll By my cousin Maureen' that came from NY to live with us for a while... I was always some how seeking out depth or darkness in whatever music I was listening to..I always liked songs that woere sad or eerie, or just had that lil extra somethin' that made it stand out...
So any way when I was 12 I got intro duced to Late sixties up to about 82; with the pretenders and Ozzy Ozzbourne!! and Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelen...
My cousin had every record from every band at the time to date from the beatles to hendrix to sabbath, I MEAN EVERYTHING FROM THE 60'S THE DOORS, JANIS JOPLIN THE BIRDS, ALL THE HEAVIES. ALL THE ZEP ALBUMS AL THE SABBATH ALBUMS ALL THE WAY UP TO MOB RULES, VAN HALEN. AC/DC, DEEP PURPLE, RUSH, I MEAN EVERY THING (GOOD TOUGH) no greatfull dead though... that one jethro tull record th one with that guy on it.
So anyway yea, that was the begining, after that I've gone withthe times, taking off ito contemporary pop for a while with george micheal, then I discovered grunge!!!
Not much for Nirvana, but I do like them and I was into them at the time. but my fave's are smashing pumkins stone temple and pearl jam in that order (finally) yea it took my a whilel LOL. Other: Tool, Deftones, I can appreciate dark bands, I'm also a softie though, coldplay,
but recently I'm on a grunge resurgence, oh and did I mention sonic youth.
Currently as well as grunge I seem to be on this electronic music Kick that seems to be dwindling...just wait til I get my guitar out man!!!(of the pawn shop) LOL
Sounds Like: The birds chirpping, the bell ringing, a screeching accident with casualties...
Anything can happen you know...!@
