Welcome to My Official MySpace Page
My name is Alex (Also Known As FreskBeats or FBM (FreskBeatsMusic)). I am 16 years old and I am currently in Year 11 studying my GCSE's. I am a Music Producer, and I like to produce all kinds of music. My Showreal has now been uploaded on MySpace and will be appearing on Facebook very soon!
I started producing when I was 14 years old using Fruity Loops 7. I started off like most people do, not knowing what to do and what anything did, but I continued to practice and practice and after a while on my own I learned the basics of how to make a beat. Obviously, my beats were sounding far from good, but I got an understanding of what each of the sounds did and how they influenced the beat. With this understanding, I learned how to make a beat and how to put the sounds together. I also learned the basic structure of tracks (16 bar verse, 8 bar chorus, etc.). By this time I was continuously making beats using this structure to try and perfect my sound.
When I turned 15, my beats were begging to sound less experimental and lots of noise and more like grime (which at this time, was the genre I wanted to produce)! As my beats were improving quickly, MC's were interested in using some of my beats, and therefore I began to work with some MC's on projects. This gave me even more understanding on how songs are recorded and created. As the summer was coming to an end, I believed that I had a strong understanding of how to make beats on Fruity Loops. This was when I discovered Reason 3. With a little help from the guy I currently do a lot of work with now (Kojo), I began understanding how to use Reason. This was a huge step up from producing on Fruity as I was able to experiment with new sounds and effects. I also learned why music is made, how to mix and knowing where different sounds sit in a mix. With this and other new knowledge I made a massive improvement in the quality of my beats. I also began to experiment with different genres and not constrict myself to just one genre. My beats were still continuously improving.
Now aged 16, I am currently working with programs such as: Reason 4, Cubase 4 and Logic (learning Logic at the moment!) Genres Producing: Hip Hop, Funky House, Drum & Bass, Dance/House, Pop, R&B, Garage and Commercial Music. My showreal has now been released, so have a listen and leave your thoughts on my latest work.
I am also interested in working with GOOD and well ESTABLISHED Singers and MC's/Rappers (Artists should also be positive and not talk about anything negative! If this includes you, do not bother messaging me).
