About Me

IN MY OWN WORDS... I grew up as a military brat, travelling all over the United States and Europe before graduating from high school in Albuquerque, New Mexico. That was where I started my first step team, RAGE. After graduating I accepted an academic scholarship to the University of New Mexico. At UNM I competed on the gymnastics team, graduated with a BA in Theatre, and also chartered an organization called RHYTHM CARTEL to create unity and spread my love for stepping. I moved to NYC after college where I worked steadily as a stage actor before relocating to Washington, DC to begin working with Step Afrika, the first ever dance company dedicated preserving the art form of Stepping. In my 5 years of touring and teaching with the company I became Artistic Director, created innovative choreography and worked as a cultural ambassador on U.S. Embassy sponsored events in Africa and Brazil. In 2004 I received a grant from the D.C. Commission on the Arts and Humanities and was recognized as one of DC's Young Emerging Artists. In 2006 I moved to Las Vegas as an original cast member of Stomp's newest creation, STOMP OUT LOUD, which ran for nearly two years at Planet Hollywood. Currently I am performing in Cirque du Soleil's KA @ MGM Grand Resort. I also perform with my own company MOLODI, which I describe as a "Step, Rhythm, Harmony, Energy thang."
