About Me

For about as long as I can remember, I have loved the sport of boxing. I can still remember tuning in to watch Tuesday Night Fights (RIP) on USA and Top Rank Boxing on ESPN as a kid. Eventually, I forced my parents to get HBO and Showtime so I could watch the marquee fighters ply their trade. Whether it was a superfight or a four-round swing fight on Spanish-speaking television, it was a safe bet that I would be glued to the TV while it was on. I even went as far as to have "Fight Night" parties at my house in an effort to convert my friends to boxing. That love of boxing hasn't left me in my adulthood. In fact, I am trying to marry my two great loves: boxing and writing. I figure that I may as well chase my dream of becoming a boxing writer and see where it takes me. I currently am writing as an intern for TheSweetScience.com. Click on "John Nguyen" in the sidebar to the right on the homepage, and you'll be able to see some of my work.I hope that you'll take some time to read the articles I post.
