I'm a devotee of Sri Sri Radha Krsna and Sri Krsna Caitanya Mahaprabhu. My name is Gaura Sakti dasa and I'm privileged to be disciple of Swami Bhakti Vedanta Tripurari. My spiritual practice is the most important part of my life and service to my Guru Maharaja mission is my soul. I'm a joyful person and very easy communicating with other people. I love to travel and always have new interesting conceptions. In my free time I love to practice NordicWalking and I try to do that every day.
I heard about the Krishna devotees for the first time when I was 14 in a negative article that I read in one of the popular polish teenage magazine. I contemplated to myself then, that I would never do something like this. I met the ISCKON-devotees in 1990 when I was 17 and was attending high school. This was a time in my life when I was deeply searching for spirituality and even though I was most attached to Christian mysticism , I also became interested in the mysticism of other traditions.
One day I saw the devotees in my school. One of the devotees was holding in her hand a book with a cover of Krsna and Radharani on a swing. Something made me as still as a stone then and I knew that the only goal of my life was to love these two persons. I could not even remember the mahamantra then and I did not understand anything that the devotees were saying to me. I just wanted to have this picture and look at it. Three weeks later I had an accident at the train station in which I was almost draw under the wheels of a train. In an instance I remembered the mahamantra and from that moment my story has began.
I received a harinama initiation at the beginning of 1996 receiving the name Rasananda dasa and a diksa initiation in 1999. Since 1996 I left all of my responsibilities and became a preaching brahmacari (monk).
Thanks to the mercy of my dear friend Rama Kesava prabhu in 2002 on Radhasthami, I had the occasion to visit Audarya Asram and meet for the first time personally Swami BV Tripurari. In fact, sometime in 1998 or maybe 1999 I became attracted by his preaching but I fought this because I thought that this was not properly seen by Iskcon.
When I met Guru Maharaja in person, I did not have any doubt that Krsna for many years has been pushing me in his direction. I wanted to accept Swami as my siksa guru. In November of 2004 seeing that there is no chance for a change of my decision, my ex-Guru freed me from all relations of Guru and disciple between us and advised me to accept initiation from my beloved Guru Maharaja. Since this time my name is Gaura-sakti dasa.
Presently I live in Poland, where I work, study and serve group of devotees of my Guru Maharaja. I visit different towns to teach gaura-vani. Also, I help group of Guru Maharaja devotees in London and in US by visiting them in person from time to time and thru the constant contact by internet.
Beside my spiritual life, professionally I'm engaged in wide variety of couple therapies, families and children. My special interest have Transgeneration Family Therapy developed by Bert Hellinger which is called "Systemic Family Constellations Therapy". I went thru extended training by Polish and German therapists including Bert Hellinger himself. My attention have also Hellinger Pedagogy and sometime in the future, I plane to write some serious books about it.
