About Me

John Belushi handpicked me to sing with the original Blues Brothers Band. I remember in 1982 when they were are hugging me and Jerry Wexler shook my hand! Cast as weed-smokin' Baby Sister Bluesetta Blues,I was set for film, recording, comedy...then John died. Blamed for his death, I had to go into hiding and I never returned to Hollywood. I was blacklisted on a rumour! The lynch mob was looking for me. I wasn't even in LA the night Jake got iced! of course I did not want to sing or do anything with the blues ever again....Thanks to the Medical Marijuana Movement and Dr. Tod Mikuriya, I was able to start functioning in the world again. Landing in Marin County in 1984, I recovered through therapy and college education. I founded the Marin Alliance for Medical Marijuana in Fairfax,Ca in 1990, got licensed by the Town in 1997, and still own the oldest standing medical pot club. My name is Lynnette Mont-eton Shaw and no body knew that in 1982 except for JB, his wife Judy, and my manager at the time, "Steady". Every Weed Girl has an alias!I did not remember any of my old friends, nor could I write songs other than a few reggae tunes for 25 years.When I remembered about Jake and the boys, my former manager had walked me through my repressed memory for a few months.I had run into him in LA in '06 when I ran for office at the behest of the Libertarian Party. As the MJ Peace candidate for Lt Governor I received 143,000 votes!"Steady" reminded me about everything becasue he was there.The memories hit me like a tsunami...I am a BLUES singer par excellance. I was picked to be an international ambassador of good times by John Belushi himself!I am Back on the Mission From God!I have been writing songs like crazy ever since...put together a great band....morphed my reggae pot songs into the show, since Bluesetta has been on the lam she has been Everywhere High and Low...we are developing our wild film script and are working on the evil plan...

Blue Lou Marini was my first friend in the Blues Bros Band, he discovered me on the Amateur Jam Night at the Central on the Strip. He immediately dragged me to Pro Jam night and threw me up on stage......... update 11.27.07, Blues Bros Central steered me to Lou's myspace site and I have sent him a very interesting email..hey Blue Lou - it's me, Baby Sister Blues! email me, old friend....I am alive and singing very well.......... ; )Merry Xmas day, Lou sent me his link.... hey fave sax man!!I hope to get the chance to play music with you again...hope to contact Judy Belushi Pisano, John 's widow and the one who helped set up the big deal for me...
