I am a lyricist with a background and interest in many genres. I was the lead "singer" or yeller of a punk rock band when I was 13 years old we did a few back yard shows and it got me amped to keep going.. But as long as I can remember I've been interested in art and writing. When I was 17, a freestyle cypher caught my attention and I joined in. Every thing I do is free form so I caught on quick. Shortly after I joined a hip hop/trip hop crew. At that time we were sampling, using drum machines and MCing.My folk inspirations, witch stem from my childhood came out recently as I've been jamming with a good friend of mine who's very talented on the guitar..I love story telling so I love folk/jam bands. I am also involved in the tripper head scene, so I'm down to groove some electronic music..So far I've mostly freestyled over it..I have recorded over a dub step beat by seekquence.
At this point in my career I've only made money at a gig once. It was an event my boy Dj Shmeeze was spinning. I battled the MC's who were competing and beat all who apposed me and the guy who threw the event handed me 500 bucks; i was stoked. I'm not a battle rapper tho nor am I in this for money.. It's just a release and I love it.. Music transcends space and time so in essence so do I... My girl friend whom I'm madly in love with also writes and plays which makes it all the more harmonious.. She inspires me more every day. The two of us ARE a band...I'm the mythical serpent.."lochnes"..
