About Me
Filipino pride, proud to be American
My story can be metaphorically summed up in these 12 minutes:
..
I'm the YOUNG and HOPELESS AMERICAN IDIOT.
I'm the son of rage and love.
I'm anything but ordinary. (What's so great about normal?)
I am what I am. Of course I aim to be more, but I never claim to be something I'm not. I am the sum of many parts if it isn't obvious by the various visuals seen here, most of which obviously shouldn't belong together. This is the product of my fucked up, but fully functioning mind and imagination. I was probably dropped on my head a few times, but it seems to still work ok. It's the product of MY WORLD. I'm a DREAMER, and my world is a step back from the real world, because MY WORLD is more beautiful
(cue Avril)
Would someone be and not pretend? I'm off again in my world
I'm a walking wikipedia of everything pop culture, specializing most in c.1996 to the present. But like wikipedia, most of it is right, while the rest needs to be double-checked. I know I could have taken anybody on Season 1 of World Series of Pop Culture, except maybe that dude from Velvet Rope Revolution (love to take him on 1-on-1 though). My mind insatiably thirsts for this type of knowledge, so I gladly feed it. And because of this insatiable hunger, I know this is the field I want to work in, in some way, shape or form, til I meet my maker. Just give me a shot, and I swear with all that I am, I'll hit it out of the park!
I live for today, because tomorrow isn't promised. So my philosophy can be summed up by either of these songs:
..
..
I'm a little pop, a little rock, a little hip hop, a little punk and a little emo. I live for the new school, but have mad respect for the old school and all those who paved the way. I respect greatness. If you are widely regarded as the greatest, there's a reason for that, whether I agree with it or not. Because without their greatness, those who I think are great now, probably wouldn't be if it weren't for those who preceeded them.
Take this guy for example. Say what you will about him now as a person, but if you don't recognize his greatness as an artist, even by this video alone, then you don't know music and you don't know art!
..
This guy's on almost the same boat as the guy above - genius then, nutcase now. But I still had to show some love to his masterpiece.
..
I'm also a proud SMARK! (wikipedia it)
I proudly rep the 2-1-2 aka "Freak Show Central" aka Gotham City, better known as New York City. But I still show love to the Garden State after living here most of my life.
I was born in the 212, babied in the 718, sheltered in the 609, raised in the 053 (my OC - Ormoc City, Philippines), reality checked in the 032 (Cebu City, Philippines), and after playing the game I returned to the 212 to try and make my mark, settling on the other side of the Hudson in the swamps of the 201 (only coz it's cheaper that way! wish I could live in the 212 since I'm there all the time).
(Looks pretty professional, don't you think? I'm proud of this shot coz I took it! All natural shooting skills, no photoshop. Never forget)
On the surface I come across as the silent type, but the truth of the matter is, I'm reading right through you. Whatever walls you put up, I'm trying to see through. If you ask me something, I'll tell you exactly how I think it is and why I think so - no sugarcoating, no frontin'
(cue Pharrell)
I WAS JUST FRONTIN'
I love going to live performances (especially if it's free and all you need to know is when and where to show up) and concerts (if I can afford to). Here's a glimpse of some of the shows I've been to so far:

I'm really friendly, because I only look at the good in everyone rather than their faults (until it's absolutely necessary). It's my gift and my curse that I usually put others before myself. So I've made a lot of friends in my lifetime, but I get real close to a very select few. I expect only 2 things from anyone I encounter - TRUTH and RESPECT. Those who do that, I consider my truest friends and hence I give them the exact same in return.
