♥ORIGINAL THATTER SINCE 1991♥ Take That are a four piece who are currently enjoying whats been described as the comeback of all comebacks.Originally put together in 1990 as a 5 piece, They enjoyed massive success with millions of fans of all ages around the globe. In 1996 they broke millions of young girls hearts by announcing they were no more, shortly after the departure of the fifth member Robbie Williams.During their six years together Take That obtained a place in the record books by having four of their singles reach the No 1 spot in succession.By the end, they had notched up no less than 8 No 1 hits, ensuring their place in the music history books. They also managed 3 studio albums and a greatest hits album, 3 of which made the No 1 spot in the album charts. In 2005 a new greatest hits (Take That - The Ultimate Collection) was released which proved more popular than ever imagined, and a documentary (Take That - For The Record) shortly followed. The success of this documentary was phenomenal and fans had the Take That bug all over again. In Nov 2005 newly reunited Take That held a press conference and announced what fans had only previously dreamed of "Take That were going back on tour!!"The tour was originally scheduled to be an 11 date arena tour but after they sold out within 30 minutes of going on sale, more dates were immediately added as promoters doubled the number of shows. The group sold 275,000 tickets in the space of under 3 hours, ironically making it the second fastest tour of 2005 behind former member Robbie Williams' solo tour. Such was the level of interest in the tour, promoters were forced to add further dates to the tour, this time in Stadium venues. Dates at the new Wembley Stadium, City of Manchester Stadium and the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff were all announced. When Wembley Stadium sold out in just 30 minutes, further more dates at Wembley and Manchester were announced. Later the venue of Wembley Stadium was changed to Milton Keynes Bowl due to the incomplete rebuild of Wembley. The success of the reunion tour meant Take That were back on top. Now with a successful tour under their belt Take That decided to record new material and 6th Nov 2006 released the long awaited new single Patience. This of course shot straight to the No 1 position in the charts and was proved much more successful than the boys could have ever imagined.Since then they have released a new album, Beautiful World which has been the most successful album of theirs to date as regards to record sales. They were also at one point topping five charts at the same time, seeing them at No. 1 in the singles download chart, album download chart, combined singles chart, combined albums chart and the dvd chart for their dvd of the Ultimate Tour.Since the release of Patience they have released Shine which was another No. 1, I'd Wait For Life and Rule The World which was penned for the movie Stardust. They have also recently finished another successful tour this time touring all across Europe playing a massive 49 dates which were all again sell-outs.More recently bagged another no 1 in the dvd chart for the dvd of that tour, selling more than 64,000 copies within the first week of it going to sale. I thinks its safe to say that Take That are 'Back For Good'.Click on the banners below to visit the myspace sites...
