About Me

Music has been my passion since childhood. Coming from a family of musicians my exploration of music was always encouraged and sometis even forced.
Fusion, Jazz, Funk, Motown, Rhythm and Blues, Soul, flamenco and other spanish guitar oriented music were the staple of my childhood musical diet. It's what I grew up on and what gave me rhythm.
In the era of the walkman and portable CD players "the 80s" my musical interests shifted to hip hop, rap, rock, classic rock, then to punk rock, on to metal and various other sub genres thereof.
In the 90s When the grunge scene became popular I was introduced and influenced by the industrial and jam band scene. Fugazi, Phish, Ministry, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, NiN, 311, Sublime, System of a Down, Tool and Primus were some of the bands that began to shape my musical outlook and style of playing today.
Alex's musical influences are too vast to list but stated are some of the most most recent:
Dead Can Dance, Tord Gustavsen Trio, Mastodon, MMW, Stanton Moore, Galactic, Lamb Of God, John Zorn, Explosions in the Sky, Sigur Ros, And they will Know us by the trail of our dead, The Meters.

Alexis Allan:
Alex's music is all original composed, performed and recorded in his home studio or on location. Most of the tracks recorded are done so spontaneously during improvisational sessions.*Disclaimer* Artists who are on my page: Featured on this page's player are tracks I've recorded with Infected Morality. I will continue to feature bands and artists I am working with. With that said, please take note that the player lists "What You Got" by AlexisAllan but it should read Infected Morality. I did not write the song. I am only responsible for the drum parts.
