About Me

SNM: The band, the group, the Myth. SNM or Snipes and Mad Cune the infamous undergroud group from the heart of the abyss. Snipes and Mad Cune were former members of Foul Play. Foul Play consisted of Mad Cune, Chief The Sniper and Rahsheed aka Maylay Sparks, longtime friends, graffitti artist and em-cees.Foul Play as a group perfomred in many venues in the Pennsylvania Tri state area during the early to mid 90's. Performing with artist such as Redman, Diamond D, Keith Murray, EPMD, Ill & Al Scratch, Pete Rock, The Last Emperor, Ill Advised, The AntNikDope, The Fat Cat Click and far too many more to remember. The group disbanded in the late 90's to pursue other ventures. Maylay Sparks has since become one of the strongest underground Em cees in the business. Chief the Sniper continued to pursue his rap career, while moving into production. And the Mad Cune concentrated on finishing school and put hip hop on the back burner.Fast forward to 2004, Maylay Sparks made a strong effort to pull the group back together for one song. Upon completion, the song was hot! The producers; Create and Devastate from Sweden liked what they heard. Since that time SNM has been working Exclusively with The Elite Fleet in an effort to put out qulity music. Now for your listening pleasure we present,SNM: Snipes and Mad Cune.... Say No More!

Sounds Like: With influences from artists such as Kool G Rap, KRS One, EPMD, Ultramagnetic MC's, Run D MC, Public Enemy, The Jungle Brothers, Eric B & Rakim, Slick Rick & Doug E. Fresh, MC Shan, Cypress Hill and many others SNM has always felt like we were ahead of the game. Growing up in the 80's gave us an opportunity to experience multiple platforms of music. Jimi Hendrix, Eurythmics, Sly and The Family Stone, Rick James, Thomas Dolby, Herbie Hancock, George Benson, Grand Master Flash and The Furious Five, The Audio Two, Fat Boys, Ice T and many others. The 80's era spawned the real em cees, from block party battles to holding cyphers in the bathrooms in high school and the school yards. Em cees were consistently tested for lyrical content. The beat was secondary. Now adays, a hot beat is primary and the em cee is secondary, SNM is here to change that! We're baaaaccckkkk........ snipes talks
