========================== COMING SOON TO DVD: THE CRYPT CLUB Deluxe Archival Edition.

Filmmaker Miguel Gallego's multiple award winning THE CRYPT CLUB (23:00) is coming to DVD in a deluxe archival version featuring 2 audio mixes (the original festival mix &amp a new DVD mix), an exhaustive filmmaker FAQ & A with unseen behind-the-scenes footage, theatrical trailer, promotional artwork gallery, and more...

The film stars Tony Award&reg nominee Alison Pill, Jessica Greco, Kerry Segal, Michèle Duquet, and the fabulous Hearsella.

"Atmospheric horror... a very stylish and tightly constructed piece." -- Rue Morgue magazine.

THE CRYPT CLUB is a dark cautionary tale of three teen girls who drive a vintage hearse to a deserted country cemetery for a midnight initiation that will challenge each girl's conscience -- with horrific results.

THE CRYPT CLUB is an official selection at over 45 international film festivals, winning 18 awards, including Best Film, Best Director, Best Cinematography, Best Original Music, and more...

========================== CONTEST: Help name our new old hearse.

We need a name for our new old hearse. My wife thinks it's a 'he'. I'm still undecided. What do you think? Let us know.

The person suggesting the grooviest, most original name will win something really, um, cool - like a free ride (front or rear is your choice). Or, if distance prevents that, how about some ultra-cool upcoming Crypt Club swag? Put on your thinking slippers and go for it.

We've got to send a big 'muchas gracias' to our watchful amigo Roger B., who discovered this dark beauty parked road-side near Palgrave, Ontario. It's now in the middle of a lengthy restoration to get it back to it's shiny glory days when it was a working funeral coach in Alliston, Ontario.

This is our first restoration and we'd love to hear tips or suggestions on everything from inexpensive replacement parts to wiring, brakes, etc. It's going to be a steep, but fun, learning curve.

Here's some background on the car for hearse fans &amp tech-heads alike.

It's a 1949 Henney-Packard Manual Nu-3-Way side service hearse with a straight 8 flat-top 356 cid Packard engine. The engine has a mere 29,000 miles - and the car purrs like a 6,000 pound black metal kitten. This beast is over 6' tall, 21' long (a little under 7 metres) with a 13' wheelbase.

It currently runs on a 6 volt electrical system, but we're seriously considering upgrading to a 12 volt system to make life a little easier on the road.

While the curtains may look tan, they're just sun faded. The interior is all burgundy with faux wood dashboard & window trim. In addition to loading the casket via the rear door, the suicide doors and swing-out casket bed allow side loading.

I can't wait for a foggy night to get this beast back on the road...
