I am a filmmaker. Sort of. Technically I am a jack of all trades but master of none, student of the universe providing my own comic relief for the television show only I can see because its playing permanent reruns somewhere in my subconscious.
Which kind of sucks.
I've been writing stories since I was a child, and delving into the darkside since I was a teenager. When everybody at school told me I wasn't going to grow up and make movies for a paycheck, I just smiled. Now that I'm all grown up and making movies, I just have to figure out where the paycheck comes from.
I list myself as a Professional Digital Media Consultant, because I work not only with film, but also with webdesign and digital audio production, and have produced several CD's. The latest the Captain Magik CD, has garnered much praise in its respective genre and I directed a music video for his first single, "Dilemma." It's debut on Logo's Clicklist came in at number 5 and then the second week in the second place slot, and for all the votes his fans cast I am extremely grateful and honored.
My short film "Tear" has won "Honorable Mention" at the 2008 Indie Gathering. I collected the medal for that as well as for my work on "Hellweek", which placed second in the slasher category.
As for what I do normally...
I range in work from basic commercials all the way to feature film production. I have created 1500 seperate visual fx across ten films, and thirty one music videos. I have scored several films as well as made cameo appearances in most.
I am currently editing the feature film "Cheap Sunglasses" for SMP productions which I not only shot but also half of which I directed.
I am versed in several software platforms, inlcuding but not limited to: Adobe CS3, Lightwave, Magic Bullet, Saphire, Acid, Samplitude, Photoshop, After Effects, Sound Forge, Poser, Maya, 3DS MAX and Cararra.
