About Me

Halem Albright(guitarist, vocalist, songwriter) was born and raised in Atlanta, Ga. Brought up among music lovers, he began to show an early interest in music. Halem started playing guitar and writing music at 14, with influences ranging from Jerry Garcia and Frank Zappa to the jazz and reggae greats. He joined the group "Bandole" at 17, helping to complete the band's sound with his unique, improvisational guitar playing and imaginative, catchy songwriting. This group recorded the album "Mountain Ate The Sun" in 1997 and played numerous shows throughout the southeast from '97-'99. Halem co-founded the group "The Green Light Council" in 2000, in which he wrote and arranged most of the band's repertoire. Accomplishments of "The G.L.C." include winning the Athens music award for "Best Jamband 2005". With his 11- song original demo("@ Baconscratch Studios"), in which all instruments and vocals were recorded by Albright, along with a collection of live compilations("w/ the G.L.C."), both available, free of charge, upon request, Halem shows his artistic capabilities as he welcomes the opportunities that are offered by the music industry.
