G5 Clive, hailing from the Uptown section of Washington DC, offers a unique design the Hip-Hop scene has been missing. Influenced by such artists as Nas, Ghostface and Jay-Z amongst others, G5 delivers music on a parallel plain as such artist, with a refreshing twist of his own reality. G5’s style is totally unique as he manages to gracefully combine the influences of growing up in the hoods of DC, with the more new age creative influences of artists such as SA-RA and KanYe West. Although he doesn’t rap using the cliché façade of a crack slanging/dope boy, his music is quite addictive...

...with lyrics aimed to conjur thought, beats made to "bob yo head," and concepts aimed to show his side of life, G5 is ready to make his name known. Along with his solo ventures musically, G5 is also apart of the revolutionary street team and rap group 'The Clientele Kidz.' Attending school at VCU in Richmond VA, G5 has access to a huge variety of music and culture which will only be a benefit to his musical growth in the near future. Also, G5 was sponsored by ATE clothing in November of 2008. In December of 2008, G5 released his highly anticipated mixtape, The Social Class, which he professes to be his best effort yet. When asked recently in an interview ‘Why do you feel you’re the face of the future of Hip-Hop,’ he laughed and calmly stated, “Future?!?! I am and always have been the face of Hip-Hop.”
