The four members of the band – Vitor Machado, Pedro da Gama, Gonçalo Santos and Robert Kudlek – had been surviving as a clan for about 11 years via a form of night entertainment called ‘P’laguita’.
Fortunately, not only money moves the world and in that time we lived developing our own creativity, sharing feelings and emotions, reflected in the show’s theatrical content, music and lyrics.
Today, as ‘Money Makers’, we have written, recorded and mixed thirteen original songs at ‘Electricbox Studios’, all produced by our dearest Tito de La Cruz.
We began, like all Portuguese bands, in our own rented garage. Funnily enough, as we gradually moved on to the studio, we found ourselves back in another rather more special garage: this time performing live at the ‘TMN Garage Sessions’ in May 2006, where we were privileged to reach the final. Playing at Aula Magna in Lisbon as a supporting band to John Rouse’s concert was a special time.
As a result we were invited to play at Sagres Surf Festival, playing the same stage as Xavier Rudd and Patrice: proud moments indeed!
Fiat Freestyle team was the light at the end of the tunnel this year.
Now, we are looking for a record deal as honest and clean as our values.
