About Me

Welcome to Chopstick Radio. This page is devoted to my classical piano recordings.A little about me...I started playing the piano at 5 years old, as far as I can remember. However, I'm told that I liked banging on the piano keys when I was a toddler. I played throughout grade school and high school under the instruction of Ellen Sakai, whose teachings I'm most grateful for. Back then, I played a lot of Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin, and a little bit of Debussy.I moved to Boston in 2005 to start residency. Halfway through my first year, I realized how much I missed the piano. So I took it up again.Currently, I'm a clinical fellow, in my last year of training and I continue to enjoy playing the piano during my spare time. This summer, I will be relocating back to Ann Arbor, Michigan (where I did my medical & graduate school training) where I will be an assistant professor and staff pathologist at University of Michigan Medical School. My collection of recordings so far:1. Rachmaninoff - Prelude Opus 23, No. 6 2. Rachmaninoff - Prelude Opus 32, No. 12 3. Grieg - Wedding Day at Troldhaugen 4. Rachmaninoff - Prelude Opus 23, No. 4 5. Debussy - Arabesque No. 1 6. Debussy - Reflets Dans L'eau 7. Liszt - Liebestraume No. 3 8. Brahms - Intermezzo Opus 118, No. 2 9. Debussy - Le Petit Negre 10. Haydn - Sonata in E-flat minor, Hob XVI:52 11.
