I am here for Friends

About Me

I grew up in a small town in southern Ontario, Canada called Havelock. I am the oldest of 5 siblings, two younger brothers and two younger sisters. Myself and my next youngest brother grew up with our grandparents and had the advantage of a good solid home life and a strong moral upbringing. Havelock is famous for its country music festival, The Havelock Country Jamboree. Its a town of about 1300 people but for one week in August its home to 60,000 screaming, yelling, drinking country music fans. Some people love it but for me it was the perfect reason to leave town. The final reason also had a name, Sarah, and she would eventually become my wife. We met through an online matchmaker service, it was actually her that contacted me first but it was my idea to call off the internet contact and meet in real life once I found out she lived only a few short minutes away from the place I was working at the time. That day she braved a brutal Canadian winter day and found her way to my place of employment and the rest shall we say is history. Since then I've changed jobs once, cars twice and dwellings thrice but I'm still with the girl that I met in the internet that made me laugh. Today I'm the head of the electronics department at a big box store and I put in my work week so that I can enjoy the company of my wife and a good movie in the evenings and on the weekend. I don't read as much as I should and I probably watch more movies than any one person should. I have a big fat cat name Loki and a holy terror of a dog named Crumb and more often than not its the dog that gets the short end of the stick when the two of them come to blows. My life isn't very interesting but should you want to discuss films I'm as engaging a person as you'll find and in the meantime I'm just taking it all in, one day at a time.
