Brett Spaulding

Guitarist, singer and songwriter Brett Spaulding was born and raised in Calgary. Breaking into the scene at just 22 years of age, Brett started out playing local jams and learning from the seasoned blues veterans in the city and is quickly building a reputation for his high energy guitar, soulful voice and catchy songwriting. Spaulding writes his own material and covers, with his sound influenced by such greats as Stevie Ray Vaughn, Dave Matthews, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, and more.The Brett Spaulding Band is made up of Geoff Aitken on drums, Matt Walkey on Bass, Brett Spaulding on lead/rhythm guitars and occasionally Brent write sitting in on guitar. The Brett Spaulding Band has played at Mikey's Juke Joint, The Engineered Air Theatre in the Epcor Centre, The Blind Beggar, The tropicana, Vern's and More. They will be playing a private party for the volunteers of the Calgary Blues Festival as well as The Calgary Blues Festival Stage at The Brown Bag Lunch in Olympic Plaza on Wednsday August 6th 2008.
