Influences: In the early 90's the Wolfdaddys van could be seen swerving down the interstate heading to any Florida venue reckless enough to invite them. One show in particular ended with them being banned from the club after the show produced several fights, a broken leg, at least two fondled women, and vomit on pool tables. More than once the Wolfdaddys shows ended in a fleet of police and other emergency vehicles descending on a club whose only blame was having a 'punk rock night' and booking the 'Dads. When guitarist Nick Kulikowsky left to develop his side project, The Groans, he further pursued the loose indie rock sound that was only a small element in the Wolfdaddys music. After being exposed to Nashville and Orlando (Precious, Hate Bombs, Nutrajet, And Red Soda) music and musicians, Kulikowsky released a track under the band name, The Alleys, on the Trackspotting Records Florida compilation in 1998. The song "everything" received enough attention and college airplay to merit releasing an e.p. named "The Road to Shotsville" and by 1999 the essentially one man studio show was an actual band. Known for their illicit substance and alcohol fueled shows they were a volatile group at their best and completely unmanageable the rest of the time. The songs here represent some of the released and demo tracks over the years and lists shows that the Alleys can be coaxed to perform when Nick is joined with talented friends such as Ruben Dye (Humdingers), Mike O’Neal (Uncle Traveling Matt),and longtime collaborator Johnny Bearor.
