Band Members: my name is joshua scott cochran, or dj anemone (as in the multi-tentacled psychedelic looking sea anemone - [uh - nem - o - nee]). I'm a producer, remixer, keyboardist, ableton dj, and nice guy (for the most part.) i play keyboards with funk band sky-hi , latin/dub/rock band marujah , and produce zee techno / progressive house tracks under enochshouse.
as dj anemone, i create audio collage mash-up mixes, downtempoish cuts, and quirky new-age funk. as joshua7 i write and sing the occasional blue grass power ballad. if i like you, you can also call me bus-stop, or mommy-moan, on occasion. i'm available for session work, djing at parties, and remixes. (for the right price!)
i am busy busy busy. my life is crazy. i mean, between work, my daughter, writing run-on sentences, two bands, solo projects, fighting all the evil ninjas, and running the orphanage i hardly ever have time to sit down and relax with a nice glass of jack and enjoy some tunes. but i do LOL a lot.

SKY HI
Murfreesboro's premier funk and soul group have been busy in the studio laying down tracks for their upcoming 2009 release "The Business Kit." MARUJAH
Marujah is beaner rock. With some dub, reggae, and heavy metal thrown in for good measure. With a new line up and completely new sound MARUJAH is recording they're 1st full length album with platinum drummer Jake Caldwell set to be released in spring 2009. MARUJAH has had the pleasure of sharing the stage with Foreigner, Snoop Dogg, Tool, Kinky, Pepe Aguilar, Lupillo Rivera, Rostros Ocultos, Locos por Juana and many others.

This project is a catch all sea creature that includes my controlleristic mashup dj mixes, electronic downtempo tracks & remixes, my session keyboard work, and my one man show looping live-pa sets. i won the abletonlivedj.com 10 X 10 mix and i also help run the ableton-centric based netlabel, ALDJR.

The Asynchronous Jazz†feels like a complete EP: the individual tunes carry a theme and utilize many of the same instruments while still keeping things interesting. Anemone’s slightly distorted, but always melodically pleasing keyboard playing really adds a unique dimension to many of the more standard elements of electronic music also at work here. True to its “jazz†heritage, this music also sounds improvised, another characteristic not usually found in the heavily structured and produced style of most electronic music.
