About Me

Okay, so here's a new countdown... the show is open, but technically we are still in previews, SO...
Get your own countdown at BlingyBlob.com
I've had the good fortune to recently be cast in GFour Productions'
at the 14th Street Playhouse (part of the Woodruff Arts Center) in Atlanta, Georgia. The show opens on March 8th, so if you want to plan a road trip, come on out!! :)
In the meantime, I have two weeks to pack up my life, find an apartment, negotiate my Equity contract, and move to Atlanta! I will miss Patrick, all my friends and family, and Near West Theatre like crazy, but am excited to move on to this new adventure in my career. Thanks to everyone who has been supportive and encouraging in this endeavor... you all rock!
Check back here and on my website for news and updates... they may be sparse until the whirlwind slows down and I get settled, but I promise I'll keep you posted!!

There need to be more people in the world like my grandparents, Ellie and Jim. (Gramma, I'll love and miss you always!!)
"I am of the opinion that my life belongs to the whole community, and as long as I live, it is my privilege to do for it whatever I can. I want to be thoroughly used up when I die, for the harder I work, the more I live. I rejoice in life for its own sake. Life is no brief candle for me. It is a sort of splendid torch which I've got hold of for the moment, and I want to make it burn as brightly as possible before handing it on to future generations."
- George Bernard Shaw
"The need of a young actor to act is stronger than an intelligent nonprofessional can comprehend. The world may think that an actor's ambition is focused on an appetite for money, success, and fame. Even those actors who admit to these aims tell only part of the story. The theatre is different from most other professions because it requires its dedicated practitioners to struggle toward a brutally honest, creative way of life.
"All tangible professions that are recognized and understood are good; but they tend to be too confining for an actor's chaotic psyche. Once channeled in the theatre and through acting, the actor quickly realizes the unlimited powers of imagination. A blossoming of emotional range follows this realization. Plays are no longer read for amusement, they are studied to learn about life. The world is no longer an occasional space for vicarious being; it is a constant staging area for vital engagement. The actor ceases to be an observer on the fringe of life, but feels permission to investigate, audaciously, life's every nook and cranny."
- Stella Adler
"The master in the art of living makes little distinction between his work and his play, his labor and his leisure, his mind and his body, his information and his recreation, his love and his religion. He hardly knows which is which. He simply pursues his vision of excellence at whatever he does, leaving others to decide whether he is working or playing. To him he's always doing both."
- James Michener
