WHAT HE SAYS:
A resident of Manchester for 10 years now, Doug has spent much of that time honing his songwriting skills. His EP takes in influences like Radiohead and, predictibly, Jeff Buckley on 'My Delight'. His love of Jeff Lynn and ELO becomes evident on the fantastic 'Stranger Than Fiction'.This is shimmering indie pop - and great pop it is too! A recent gig at The Royal Albert Hall in London saw Doug singing 'My Delight' with a 90-piece symphony orchestra to the obvious delight of the 5,000-strong crowd. Catch him in a small venue doing an an acoustic set to hear his rich, soulful voice at its beautiful best, accompanied by only his piano. His songs have the abillity to touch you and get under your skin and this year looks set to see his music do just that to the masses.Thanks popworld.com
