ENGLISH:
We come from a small city of northern Italy and we are born in 2006 from the ashes of other local bands.
David, Jonny and Lucio played together in a punk-rock band called Mastika Plastika and Ste was the mastermind of an hardcore band called 112 Abarth.
At the end of 2005 both the former bands were disbanded and we decided to start a project together and that was the birth of The Broken Idols.
Every band member likes to listen to different styles of music: obviously hardcore and punk-rock, but even death/thrash/black metal, metalcore, rap and hip-hop, industrial, Italian rock and many more...
The music is composed by Stefano and David, with the help of the other members, the lyrics are written by David. We like to write fast and groovy material with clean and hc-scream vocals. The particularities of our band are to mix hardcore/punk and metalcore riffs and breaks and to have a lot of guitar solos on our songs.

Siamo nati nel 2006, unendoci dopo esperienze musicali precedenti e veniamo da una piccola città dell'alta Lombardia, Morbegno (SO).
David, Jonny e Lucio suonavano già insieme nel gruppo punk-rock Mastika Plastika, mentre Ste era il principale compositore di una band Hardcore. i 112 Abarth.
Alla fine del 2005 ci siamo ritrovati tutti senza gruppo per lo scioglimento dei progetti precedenti: visto che già ci conoscevamo, abbiamo pensato di fondare una nuova band con cui portare avanti le inostre idee musicali, in fondo simili e compatibili.
Ogni componente ascolta un pò di tutto e questa varietà è rispecchiata anche dalle nostre composizioni.
I generi che preferiamo ascoltare sono: hardcore/punk e tutti gli stili di metal, ma anche hip-hip, rap, industrial e rock.
David e Stefano compongono le musiche, che poi vengono arrangiate con l'aiuto degli altri, mentre i testi e le melodie vocali sono scritti da David. Inizialmente lo stile della band era impostato su un hardcore melodico stile Millencolin/Bad religion/NOFX, ora ci stiamo spostando verso altri stili musicali inserendo sempre più elementi che riportano al death metal melodico e al metalcore come voci scream, arpeggi, scale e breakdown...in questo senso si possono dare riferimenti in gruppi come Unearth, In Flames, Killswitch Engage...
L'intenzione è quella di creare uno stile personale che possa unire nel migliore e più originale modo possibile hardcore e metal, senza rinunciare alla melodia...
