Sphere Studios

About Me

I edited my profile with Thomas Myspace Editor V3.6 !
Conveniently situated in Central London, just two minutes from Battersea Bridge and within easy walking distance of some of London’s trendiest bars and restaurants, Sphere has ample parking and easy access to all public transport options including Battersea Heliport and main line trains to Clapham Junction. The complex incorporates extensive ISDN and broadband transmission services and also has a large communal lounge and bar area.
Sphere offers three spacious control rooms ( 72ch Neve 88R, 72ch SSL G+, 56ch SSL G+) dedicated to tracklaying, stereo mixing and 5.1 surround mixing, all with full sound to picture facilities. There are also six production rooms available for rent by artists, composers and producers - each of which is fully networked to the main studio via a central machine room.
By starting with a blank canvas, Sphere has been able to incorporate full cross-connectivity between all its control rooms, live areas and production rooms - something that many recording facilities have tried to achieve in the past before being thwarted by the physical constraints of their premises. Sphere has succeeded where others have failed because full connectivity of recording formats was an integral part of the original design brief and was given priority status at all times during the construction process. The result is a facility that not only looks and sounds stunning but is also truly future proof and infinitely adaptable.
At Sphere our aim is to build a community of like-minded individuals who can work creatively without the hindrance of artificial barriers. Our approach is totally state of the art and totally flexible - a new future and a new way of working for the 21st century. We look forward to working with you very soon ...

Went out last night, Frank hit the O2 to see what Tony Moore was up to while I went to Discovery. It's a great gig at a venue in Soho, not the easiest place to find but it's busy once you get there. 4...

Studio 2 has been extensively remodelled with the original C4 monitoring system replaced by a custom Munro M4 5.1 system, identical to Studio 1. We were lucky enough to get hold of Andy Wallaces SSL 4...
