Ty-Reese "Ty" Catchings, Chicago based music producer, began producing at the age of 11. Now 22, he demands respect in the music industry. Teaming up with high school friend, Elliot "Big-E" Morgan, they formed the production group known as “Tha Arkitekzâ€. The name comes from the idea that they design and build the foundation of music which is the beat. Their sound known as “Arkitek Sh*t†was inspired by the Englewood neighborhood in the heart of Chicago, Illinois. It consists of dark synth filled backdrops and unorthodox drum patterns to keep the hood banging, but they are still able to make “radio-friendly†tracks. “Ty†has started building a buzz by working with Chicago artists working on various mixtapes and albums. Now knocking at the door of success, he is dedicated to perfecting his craft and strives for his music to stay fresh, rich, and relevant.
