I am a mother of two musical teenagers, KIrsty (18yrs) who plays fiddle, piano, snare drum, pipes and has discovered she has a good Gaelic voice! She is at Sabhal Mor Ostaig studying Gaelic / Traditional Music. She has trad lessons with Charlie Mckerron from Aviemore, he's great.
Calum (17yrs) plays piano and sings. His styles are a bit mixed. He enjoys classical,(not heavy!) jazz, ragtime, blues and modern on piano. He sings classical/ scot's song.
I am a member of the Elgin and District Pipe Band and play the Tenor Drum, I started on the Snare which was really good but too heavy. ( I have arthritis )I have sung in the past mainly classical but Asthma inhalers have destroyed the voice.
I used to be fairly sporty-- gymnastics, discus, figure skating and ballroom/Latin American dancing.
My husband and I enjoy going away in our trailer tent and exploring the fatastic Scottish countryside.
