The Calm Before the Storm . . .

About Me

I am an easy-going mellow gal living in Southern California. My roots stem from the east coast, most recently Boston, so I have a little edge and "flavor" different from the west coast. I spend most of my time working in the mortgage loan industry, hanging at happy hour with my girl posse, and playing with my Italian Greyhounds Rocco and Giovanni. During the spring I can be found having a beer(s) and rooting for the New York Mets. Don't laugh, it's true, go Mets! When I can, I get out of town for a little R&R. Most recently I have visited San Francisco and of course Vegas! Drop me a line sometime, I love to meet new people and have a good time.

My Interests

Movies, shopping, travel, hanging out with my dogs, happy hour, meeting new people, going to the beach, wine tasting, sampling new restaurants, learning foreign languages. Occasionally I'll hit the club scene but I am admittedly a scary dancer.

I'd like to meet:

Right now I am eliminating the "riff raff" in my life. The world will be a better place without selfish, judgmental, self-serving, dishonest people. I have recently seen the worst in people and I am done with it. Next!

Music:

Rap and hip hop are tops . . . the usual suspects 50 cent, Kanye West, Eminen, Beastie Boys. My closet "hick" side of me also likes old school Garth Brooks (throwback from my days living in Oklahoma) but I usually don't admit it.

Movies:

Anything with Ewan MacGregor is fine with me.

Television:

I am a cartoon junkie. Love "The Simpsons," "King of the Hill," "South Park," and "Family Guy." My girl friends are trying to get me hooked on "America's Next Top Model" but to be honest with you those girls get pretty evil after a while so there is only so much of that I can take. For "adult" viewing, I enjoy "CSI."

Books:

Hate to admit it, but I'm not an avid reader. That's terrible, huh? I did like "The Shining" by Stephen King way back when. Anyone have some suggestions on good reads?

Heroes:

Actor James Woods . . . what a character. If only I were that sharp and quick.
