Mooooooooose!

About Me

Michigan transplant who came to Boulder 7 years ago and is loving it. (Chief Niwot's curse!)
Getting back into regular fitness - just started working days again in February, and the office is fitness-friendly. (Huzzah!) I work in computers, though I'm quite aware there's more to life, thank you very much.
Sometime in the next year I'd like to train for a half marathon. (Someday I'll run a triathlon. I won't be in first place, but I'll finish.)
I haven't left the country in over twenty years, I want to hit the UK, Japan, and Egypt for the sights, and some really Northern country (a nordic country, or Nunavut in Canada), for scenery. Or maybe Switzerland.
Someday I'd like to learn Japanese and Arabic.
I'm definitely not interested in getting married right now, though I plan on having kids when I feel financially secure enough for it. I respect (perhaps envy) those who have religious faith, though I don't share that faith. (I grew up Catholic.)
If you know what JTHM or EVA01 mean, who StrongBad is, or why the phrase "a shrubbery!" is funny, you get cool points.
If you know Calculus, have read Classics, or can identify classical music by period and country by ear, you both know more than I do and get cool points.

I'd like to meet:

Music:

Rock, Industrial, Techno, Pop, Classic Rock, New Age, Rap, Country. Everything except for what current listeners call "R&B".

Really Good movies. (Dead Poets Society, Hepburn / Monroe films, Miyazaki films.)

Really strange movies. (Jan Svankmajyer)
