Southbound Mary

Originally formed by vocalist Jason Tharp and percussionist/guitarist Chris Sirkle, Southbound Mary has gone through several incarnations since 2003. Finally, Jason and Chris managed to find a solid lineup of experienced musicians to compliment the band. Southbound Mary began to take form. Jason Tharp belts out vocals while providing engaging theatrics and a high-energy stage presence. Chris Sirkle devotes his talent to a chest-throbbing, explosive drumming style. In 2006 veteran bassist and all-around musician Paul Flores joined the band lending deep, constant grooves to the band's heavy style. Guitarist Sean Simmons formally joined the band in January 2007 and his down 'n dirty rhythm and lead tones breathed new life and inspiration into the band. In mid-2007 guitarist Rob Medlen joined up and provided rock-steady rhythm chops and a signature thickness to what is now Southbound Mary.Currently writing and recording some new music.
