be my friend. i stay crunchy in milk.

About Me

My memories are not books. They are only stories that I have been over so many times in my head that I don't know from one day to the next what's remembered and what's made up. Like when you memorize a poem, and for one small unimportant part you supply your own words. The meaning's the same, the meter's identical. When you read the actual version you can never get it into your head that it's right and you're wrong. What I give you is the day's edition. Tomorrow it may be different. - Elizabeth McCracken.

My Interests

i like it when people keep all of their entertainment in alphabetical order, but it bugs me to no end when someone lists their "favorite" things that way. i want to know where i can buy a metal spork. i'd like to take a roadtrip to richmond to find departments 1-8. that's where most of the best infomercial stuff comes from. speaking of which, i love the trikke 8 but i don't know where to get one anymore. perhaps that ship has sailed.

I'd like to meet:

a man with a wooden leg named Smith. someone with a room to rent. anyone who can teach me how to play the accordion. the lost boys (runaway children or vampires; i'm not picky). people who know too much for their own good. someone that'll be my friend without thinking there's an ulterior motive. a drinking buddy. someone who knows all of the words to the muppet show theme song. anyone who can tell me the plural of "jesus." fluent pig-latin speakers. people who are opposed to acronyms. someone who can organize a fight between Bel Biv Devoe and Toni Tony Tone'. that'd be awesome.

Music:

i like every type of music there is, however i Hate the following with a passion: the beatles, led zepplin, pink floyd, the doors, the dead (pre and post-jerry), modest mouse, coheed and cambria, generic indie/emo (the two may not be the same thing, but nowadays, the lines are blurring and it makes me sad), crunk, r&b without either rhythm or blues, lyricists with no flow and overblown production, hip hop overladen with pretense, teen pop that pretends that it isn't, punk without ethics and elitist bastards.yes, i understand the irony presented here.

Movies:

Amelie. Delicatessan. Toys. The City of Lost Children. Brazil. Time Bandits. 12 Monkeys. The Fisher King. The Adventures of Baron Munchausen. Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. Magnolia. Cheesy romantic comedies. Movies without much plot, but lots of explosions or death. Martial Arts movies.

Television:

just about anything on trio!. adult swim. arrested development. scrubs. the muppet show. fraggle rock. ed. monty python's flying circus.

Books:

Comic Books: Laughter of the Damned. The Arsenic Lullibies. Y: the Last Man. Automatic Kafka. Cages. Sandman.Real Books: Still Life with Woodpecker. The Televisionary Oracle. The Phantom Tollbooth. Lolita. Lord of the Flies. The Little Prince.

Heroes:

my dad, terry gilliam, mike doughty, and the incredible hulk. he's awesome.
