Hi, My name is Steven, a 23 yr old Male from Brooklyn, NY. Having been born here in NY, I had moved to Honesdale, PA for a good year and a half before my return to Queens, NY.
I have previously attended Lackawanna Junior College, currently transferred, enrolled, and accepted into La Guardia Community College. I will be taking International Liberal Studies which requires at least two courses in a language, and that language will be Japanese.
With trying to be bilingual in mind(and having known and forgetting Spanish, some French, Hebrew and Yiddish), I want to use my future Japanese skills to work as a translator overseas.
Some may think "Oh joy, another Jew who wants to be something else", well, too bad. I find Japan fascinating in many ways, whether it be technology, or how their lives are very different from ours in America, I want to experience it.
If you want to help teach me Japanese, please feel free to do so. I'm still very new to this, so please, if I mess up, don't put me down, but help me.
I also have a MIXI account at http://mixi.jp/show_friend.pl?id=17495066
If you own a MIXI account as well as a Myspace account, please feel free to add me to both.
And old but still ongoing hobby of mine is being a rail enthusiast that is in love with train lines that are no longer used (Abolished/Disused). I'm not certain why I like this, it's just something that developed in me when I was small.
I have currently explored:
NYC: 9th Ave El from Anderson to Sedgwick Ave in the Bronx.
NYC: Staten Island RR's North Shore Branch from West Brighton to 'Elm Park?'; 'Tower Hill?'(Name escapes me on the station I last explored on the line).
PA: Septa Newtown Line Stations Huntingdon Valley and Bryn Athyn.
