I'm a 27 year old folk and blues enthusiast from merseyside. I started out listening to fairly average music as a kid and it's only slowly that my head has opened up to the wonders of folk, traditional and blues music from all across the globe. Irish and gaelic music in particular astounds me with it's intricacy and sheer scope for emotional expression, so too the country and city sounds of the great blues players. I've been a gigging musician (usually with a day job of some description, but not always) for the past 10 years, in that time playing on a variety of stages with a host of different bands in different styles. Playing a variety of instruments including guitar, bass, banjo, bouzouki, mandolin and a little piano. As I get older I find myself refining my musical sensibilities further and further, as experimentation leads to new and exciting styles of music. Currently playing in a few bands, as well as writing and singing my own material and having a crack at re-interpreting other peoples music.
