Hi there Indianapolis! My name is Blake Herron, and i live here in Indy. I created this profile for two reasons. 1.) There are a lot of great local bands that do not get the exposure that they need and deserve. 2.)I hate to say it but the support of local music in indy sucks. It is a problem that most people either dont think is there or they just dont care. That attitude must be changed! The poor local scene is evident in the lack of a true arts district, and a lack of events. But why the hell would up and coming local bands want to put together events when 10 people show up? I think one of the most important things about music is its energy. And THAT is what we lack here in Indy. That is the point of this site, creating a musical energy and awareness all across Indianapolis. If you are a local band, please give this cause your support. I would love all of your imput, ideas, thoughts and suggestions. Without efforts like this the local scene will slowly fade even more. And we have to much talent to let that happen!
