How I Got Into The Scene.......At the age of 15 I started buying records and fell in love with everything the early rave scene had to offer, it all began by playing a set every friday night @ a local youth club alongside one of my best mates Aj.. On the odd saturday we would go down to a club in wigan with the local boys who set up the lighting system and lazer ( Simon Leah/Malc ) ready for the evening when the doors opened.. they were long days and being in an empty club during the day with Decks and Monitor speaker prove to be too much to resist... so i started taking my records when i could and slowly but surely learnt how to mix, one evening a year or so later was given the chance to do the warm up and since then i have never looked back... The Club was Maximes and it was a time when The Famous Back To The Old Skool Nights where in full prime..Thanks to Gary Hibbert & Peter Midgley ( Hypnotic & Maximes ) Old skool became my trade mark and Many many years later im still loving it as much as i did back then. And still to this day still play the odd old skool set @ Maximes!!Events Played...............During my time have performed at - The Hacienda - Manchester, being part of " The Old Skool Team" this was probably one of best clubs i ever had the chance to play.. Have also had the pleasure of playing Live Radio Sets on - Piccadilly Key 103 Manchester, Galaxy 102 Manchester.....Have Promoted Club Classics Nights on and off over the past 8 years -
Love Decade Club Classics - This night was origionally started @ Generation X - Manchester by a Chap called Ben Reed who put the night together and booked Myself and Mark XTC to play classics sets, The opening night was a huge success and became a perminent feature @ Gen X over a period of a year. Myself and Mark then teamed up with Ben in Running the night Which Moved Home later to the Music Box on oxford road and then later to The Paradise Factory on Princess Street.. Where again the night grew in following. Whilst there we ran a Joint night with the Metropolis Guys which again became very succesful.
Where Love Lives - Created by Robbie Musto, WLL has been a popular night for the past 4 years based in Brighton / Barcelona.. I spent a 2 Year period overlooking the night @ The Honey Club/Bar on the sea front in Brighton which again proved to be a big hit over the summer periods for those who cared for a trip down memory lane!!... Based perminently @ Pacha in Barcelona now Robbie is taking this night from strength to strength and for sure i will be popping over to spin a few tunes from month to month over the coming year...
