About Me

Since being brought up in Southern Australia until I was 8, and Kenya until I was 16, I have gone from a fumbling bedroom guitarist dreaming of becoming a fighter pilot in the RAF, to deciding to take music for A-level as a sideline subject, to taking a degree in 'Popular Music and Recording' at Salford Uni which I ended up passing with a 2:1 hons. I had also been writing some of my own material and playing in a few bands that at the time was a lot of fun! After graduating, I worked for a few weeks as a driver for Sainsbury's shopping home delivery, and then got into Studio work.First of all, I worked at NGM's recording studios in Thornbury near Bristol for a year and a half. I was soon put in charge of the studios, and after a year was given 2 full-time students to train. This led me to get a job at the prestigious Parkgate Studio in East Sussex assisting, engineering, or operating ProTools for bands such as Snow Patrol, The Cure, Hope of the States, Wet Wet Wet, JJ72, Therapy and the Klaxons. After two and a half years at Parkgate, I decided that it was time to knock the rediculous hours and laughable pay on the head, and give my own music another shot.So this is some of my music: I hope you like it. At the moment I am concentrating on the songwriting side of things, and hopefully selling my songs. I am also looking into starting up a band. Anyone interested in either, please let me know.I also record and mix down live gigs, make smaller recordings, do cd mastering from my home studio, and am available for hire as a recording engineer or ProTools specialist.
