About Me

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9k-OXttCnWY
KC Roberts is a Singer/Writer residing in Nashville, Tennessee pursuing his dreams. Currently, he is in the market for a staff writing job at a publishing company in town. He is also a full-time estimator with Sparkman Roofing and Windows giving excellent deals on all remodeling for Nashvillians and Musician discounts for artists. ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ---- A Redneck Renaissance Man with a university degree in Rhetoric, from Cal Berkeley, and a blue collar degree in hard work, KC weaves life's pleasures and pains into a song. While he has one foot planted in tradition and another tapping along to the heartbeat of America, he also realizes that if your going to make it in today's market you will have to write for the younger audiences. His ballads are precious poetry, and his upbeat songs could jumpstart a dead man's heart. ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ---- KC asserts that the greatest thing that ever happened to him is meeting his wife, Debi. "I love her mostly because she is a lady." he says. She also co-writes, and he says that she can spot a cheesy line in a second and won't accept it if it's not perfect. ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ---- Hey everyone, although the album isn't finished and is moving very slowly, I've decided to post a couple of my songs with the scratch vocals...I hope you like the preview...KC ..

Influences: Mamaw, Elvis, Alan, Vern, Pick a Hank any Hank, and the same for George's, and Mark "the voice" Chestnut. However, I've always been a big fan of the power voices, like Hank Jr. So It's only natural that I love Ronnie Dunn's voice, but give me some John Berry, and some Diamond Rio, some Waylon and Willie, mixed in with some Pat Green, Hag, & Bob Wills, a dash of Don Williams, E. T. Conlee, Coe, stone, & Milsap, Joe Diffie, Toby keith, Chris Ledoux and Alabama, Garth, Clint and Randy T. and the heart of buffet or jerry Jeff walker, and you might get an idea what helped shape my Country music.

"Real Country?"

I have to admit it, I used to get a little upset about the current trend of "Country Music" moving farther and farther away from it's roots. However, I've realized even I'm not "real" country. Unless ...
