Conversation on Memorial Day with the IMOP regarding the debacle known as "Trubs at the Dubs".Me: "I think I had a blood alcohol content of .5", Phil: "Dude, I think you had some blood in your alcohol."The 4D - it exists. I'd like to meet the perfect balance.
Haven't found new music in a while, so listening to the same old stuff - Little Brother, Phonte and all his collabos and mixes, Slum Village (Fantastic, Part II), Talib Kweli, DJ Jazzy Jeff when I need some mellowed out true hip-hop, Michael Buble when I'm driving while slightly buzzed and/or tired, John Mayer's Room For Squares when I need to relax. Hoping Amy Winehouse eases up on the dope before she becomes this generation's Jim Morrision. And hating on anyone that says her "Back To Black" album is better then "Frank". No effin way.
Saving Private Ryan, Black Hawk Down, Band of Brothers, Lord of the Rings, Royal Tenanbaums, Swingers, Star Wars, Goonies, Transformers, the list goes on...
24!!!, Arrested Development (RIP yo), Heroes, Lost, Scrubs, Family Guy, 30 Rock, Friday Night Lights, Entourage, Chuck
The only book I've been reading lately is "Harrington on Hold 'Em" over and over again. Does that mean I play poker all the time? Nope, haven't played since I got to Vegas. Weird huh. But yeah, the most reading I do is the daily headlines from the AP/NY Times/WA Post/BBC (for a very slight international perspective). The political articles/updates are really a good intriguing read. Whether you care for politics or not, you can not deny it's good drama. And it's kind of historic right now. Otherwise, get the rest of my world bearings by reading the NY Times Sunday Magazine (this should count as a book, really long articles) along with the Week in Review and International sections.
