RUSTY NAILS

Rusty Nails was formed in 2002, out of the musical affinities of Eric and Vince, former members of POLARIS (a heavy metal band from Rennes influenced by Iron Maiden and Metallica) and Oliv', formerly a death metal drummer. Rusty Nails' musical orientaion is a mix of all the members' tastes and range from punk rock to thrash metal. They began rehearsing covers of the Ramones, Motörhead and the Misfits. Their first live appearance occured during a 77 punk rock celebration night at the locally renowned rock club the Mondo Bizarro where they played a selection of the Misfits' classics, dressed like and wearing the same make up as their idols. In June 2006, the band recorded the "Murder, Violence, Blood and Guts" demo in Paris, which contained their first original songs. In June 2007, Oliv' decided to leave the band for personnal reasons and in November 2007, Yannick joined Rusty Nails which made the band back into activity. Yannick used to be the drummer of the excellent, locally renowned and now split up thrash metal band Retentum Curiae. He also plays the drums in his other band Burn at All. He was spotted by Vince and Eric during a local show where Burn at All furiously opened for GBH.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxRusty Nails a vu le jour en 2002, ce groupe est né des affinités musicales d'Eric et de Vince deux ex-membres de Polaris (groupe de heavy metal rennais) et d'Olive (ancien batteur death metal). Eric a joué également dans Suzan Norton en tant que batteur dans ses jeunes années .L'orientation du groupe est délibérément speed, thrash et punk rock. Rusty Nails se met sur les rails en reprenant des titres des Ramones, Motörhead et des Misfits qui lui permettra de jouer au Mondo Bizarro en tant que cover band de ces derniers. En juin 2006, le groupe enregistre une démo 5 titres dans un studio à Paris. En juin 2007, Olive quitte le groupe et la région pour des raisons professionnelles. Yannick (ex-Retentum Curiae et batteur de BURN AT ALL) intègre le groupe.Myspace Layouts - Myspace Editor
