About Me

Yes, the long defunct FASTER MUSTACHE (FM) has arisen like a phoenix from the ashes. FM dazzled Atlanta show-goers during their brief 2001 reign as the "Art-Gods of conceptual doom-saying," (see Creative Loafing, My What a Busy Week, March 22, 2001). Witnesses to FM performances were delighted by heavy hypnotic repetition, 8mm horror films and the really good looks of front man/drummer Andrew Persichettie.Although FM's music was wildly influential it is, perhaps, the piece of rolled graffiti across the four-story memorial drive building that secured the band's legacy. As for musical evidence, unfortunately no recordings survived the 2002 studio fire that killed FM’s friend and producer, Akuma Mitsu and badly blistered the right hand of guitarist Chris Van Held. We're sorry, FASTER MUSTACHE is unable to comment on accusations surrounding the 2004 stabbing of an Atlanta cyclist. Thanks for your continued support and non-disclosure during this extended period of legal entanglement. -FM
