About Me

jean wells was conceived in a dimly lit basement surrounded by musical instruments, framed pictures of Jesus and a myriad of obscure L.P covers brad-nailed to the walls. The voices of jen and melis instantly wound their way together to produce a sound that would later be described as "honey and cream". Expanding on a mutual love of simple arrangements and blended vocals jen and melis immediately began working on original works. Once folk/alt-country, jean wells sound (and name) has changed. Visit 'The Joliettes' to see what we're up to now :)
