My Family - Reading/writing - nature - spirituality - intelligent conversaion - music - Television - WoW - introspection and self-discovery - conflict & resolution
(Still) People who share my interests - or at least my goals. Other young parents/married people struggling within the confines of their oppressive-yet-satisfying mundanity. Famous and/or rich people in the market to adopt a challanging 29 year old. Supernatural beings or those normal people with supernatural powers (no empathy / ESP crap, I'm talking about laser-beam eyes - pew pew)
People use this as a billboard to advertise their own ecletic musical tastes I find. I swear some people just make up band names that sound hip and obscure. For me I tend to go through phases. I like ethereal-sounding female singers (Jem, Tori Amos, Imogen Heap, Natalie Merchant, Cranberries, Emm Gryner), Hardish alternative (Rage against the Machine, Korn, Godsmack, Disturbed, Drowning Pool), New Age (Clannad, Enya, David Arkenstone), Rap/pop (Eminem, Black Eyed Peas, KRS One - Anything rythmic) and anything that catches my ear, I am very non-judgemental when it comes to music.
Dogma, Hunt for Red October, Excalibur, MP&THG, Underworld, Anything with: Zombies, Robots, Werewolves, Martial Arts, Vikings, excessive explosions/violence/nudity
I'm a big TV Fan - particulary hourlong dramas. Angel/buffy, Stargate SG1 & Atlantis, JAG, House, Lost, NCIS, CSI, Corner Gas
I don't read for social commentary - I read to escape so my normal choices are rather shameless braincandy. I also read voraciously so it's impossible for me to remember anything beyond my absolute favorites and the most recent things i've read. Coldfire Trilogy by C.S. Friedman rocked. The krondor series, any of the stuff R.A. Salvatore writes, George R. R. Martin.
I tend to find admirable qualities in most people, particularly those who have experienced loss and become a stronger, better person because of it. My wife is probably the lead contender here. I will always strive to be more like her.
