About Me

I'm a native of Annapolis, MD, which pretty much means I had to take up sailing. I picked up occasional sailboat delivery jobs to & from the Caribbean, and eventually moved to the Virgin Islands to become a divemaster & scuba instructor. (There is nothing - absolutely nothing - like jumping off a boat to get to work every day!) A few years later, I was invited to crew on a 46' sailboat on a trip around the world. (Ow! Hey! That's my arm you're twisting!) So, I headed south, through the Panama Canal, to the Galapagos, New Zealand, Austraila, and places in the South Pacific I'd only ever seen in National Geographic. Absolutely amazing. I visited schools along the way, and the kids followed me on FindingChristy.com.

Now, I've been back a couple of years, & life is every bit as much of an adventure.Last year, I started BellsForWells.com , selling jingle bell earrings at Christmas to raise money for new wells in Africa. (You know you need a stocking stuffer for somebody - check out the earrings, they're for a great cause, they're beautiful, & they're only ten bucks!)

So, that's what I've been up to lately. During the day, I disguise myself as a cruising specialist for a yacht insurance agency. Evenings & weekends, I make jewelry, work on websites, or go kayaking, and occasionally catch up on laundry. I've also been known to hang around behind bars, including the MD Ren Fest, EYC, Rams Head Tavern, and most recently, the Espresso Bar at Bay Area Community Church, where I also serve on the web team. This year, I'll attempt once again, to be the oldest kid in the class & continue forward toward a degree in graphic design.

Through no fault of my own, I will be the last of my immediate family to jump out of an airplane. What's up with that?!
